Leavenworth Sleigh Ride and Holiday Lights 2020

This journey begins at 7:00am, as you are ferried through the gorgeous Cascade Mountains to Red Tail Canyon Farm. A winter wonderland begins to unfold before your very eyes in a custom-built sleigh pulled by Belgian, Suffolk Draft or Percheron horses, as it carries you through woods, trails, fields and snow-covered canyons. At the ride’s conclusion, you can warm yourself by the fire, and pose for pictures with the horses, and then it is off to the nearby town of Leavenworth. In this quaint, old-world town, you are free to browse, shop and enjoy outdoor entertainment and authentic German food purchased at street stands and local eateries. At dusk, the town will come alive, as hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights turn on in a magical moment. Then just relax on your comfortable journey home and treasure the memories made over the course of your 13-hour Holiday expedition
Check in begins at 6:45 AM and the bus will depart at 7:00 AM from the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP, formerly named EMP). Advance reservations required; 48-hour cancellation policy; gratuities are appreciated and graciously accepted.
COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines:
Please note: There is NO Lighting Ceremony this year. There are NO restrooms on the bus however you will have a designated restroom stop. Seating on the bus will be preassigned to ensure guests stay within the CDC regulated 6-ft social distancing guidelines. All guests must wear masks and or face coverings, if you do not bring your own you will need to purchase one directly from us before boarding. Please dress warm as we will not be allowed to provide blankets or items during sleigh rides. When there is not enough snow for the sleigh, wagons are used instead.
PARKING LOT RECOMMENDATION: use the parking lot across the street from the MoPOP at 516 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109 because they have 24 hour parking and others in the area do not. A 13 hour parking time slot should be sufficient for the day. Entrances are on Harrison Street and Republican Street just east of 5th Ave N. Note: The parking lot at the MoPOP only has 10 hour parking and they will be looking to ticket any who go over time.
