Leavenworth Christmas Festival

Let Customized Tours take you to the amazing annual Christmas Lighting Festival in the picturesque Bavarian-themed mountain village of Leavenworth, Washington. Gather at dusk for the Christmas Lights ceremony as the town, promenade, and Christmas trees suddenly burst ablaze in hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights. Afterward, relax on your comfortable trip home filled with the holiday spirit, and treasured lifetime memories. You will have many opportunities to photograph the awe-inspiring scenery around you as well as the charming Bavarian themed shops, scenes and promenade, so don’t forget your camera!

Pickup is 7:45 AM at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP, formerly named EMP) Saturdays December 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd 2018; Duration –  about 12 hours with return to the Seattle Center; Advance reservations required; 48-hour cancellation policy; gratuities are appreciated and graciously accepted.

PLEASE NOTE – On the 22nd of December the Christmas Lights in Leavenworth will be on, but there will not be a Lighting Ceremony or live entertainment during the day.

PARKING LOT RECOMMENDATION: use the parking lot across the street from the MoPOP at 516 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109 because they have 24 hour parking and others in the area do not. A 13 hour parking time slot should be sufficient for the day. Entrances are on Harrison Street and Republican Street just east of 5th Ave N. Note: The parking lot at the MoPOP only has 10 hour parking and they will be looking to ticket any who go over time.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a jacket, as we go by the water and you may get chilly on overcast days. Bring an umbrella if appropriate, and don’t forget your camera. We’re your host in Seattle and are committed to showing you a memorable time, so be ready for a great tour! Alcohol is only served to those over age 21 who present ID at the wineries. All prices include taxes and fees. We pick up and drop off at select downtown and airport hotels. Pickup times vary by hotel location. Gratuity is appreciated and graciously accepted.   Boeing Tours All tours are conducted in English and last about 90 minutes. The Boeing Company does not permit still photos or video cameras on the tour. Children must be at least 4 feet (122 cm) tall to go on the tour. Visitors may not carry babies on the tour. There is no child-care facility at the Future of Flight & Boeing Tour, and there are no exceptions to these safety regulations. There are no personal items allowed on the tour. These items include: purses, backpacks, cameras, binoculars, cell phones, etc. Lockers are available on-site, for a small fee, at the Future of Flight. The tour may require a one-third-mile walk, 21 steep stairs and an elevator ride. The Boeing Tour can be done by wheelchair and physically challenged visitors with advance notice. Please advise us when making reservations. There are restroom facilities and a café at the Future of Flight, but restrooms are not available during the tour. No food or drink allowed.   Mt. Rainier Tours Besides snowcapped Mt Rainier, your tour includes glacial moraines, the Longmire Visitor Center and Museum, Narada Falls, Reflection Lake and Lake Louise. The Paradise Jackson Visitor Center offers various ranger-led interpretive talks about the mountain and its glaciers and wildlife. There’s also a picnic area and dining room food service, gift shop and rest facilities. Also, be sure to bring a sack lunch or money to purchase food at the Visitor Center concession. Food may be purchased at Paradise Visitor Center. Bring a lunch or cash to purchase your lunch and mementos of your visit. Bring a jacket, since even in summer Paradise can be cool and often breezy. We allow ample stops for you to photograph the awe-inspiring scenery around you, so don’t forget your camera! Snow and animals are seasonal and their abundance may vary, driving routes may vary based on weather and road conditions, your guide will make necessary changes to enhance your tour experience.
